About The Belles

Emily Piper and Janel Starkey started Tiny Belles Boutique, a boutique tutu and hair accessory shop, in Fall 2009.  The friends are both Spokane natives and pregnant stay at home moms, both due early fall 2010. Emily is a proud Air Force wife with 2 girls, 1 and 5.  Janel is the wife of a local Christian worship leader and guitar teacher, also with 2 girls, 2 and 5. Both women are active in their church and with their small children.

Both women are pretty crafty and consider themselves stylish and trendy. They loved dressing their girls up and taking photos so much, they decided to make a business out of it! Emily creates the tutus and Janel the hair accessories! After opening, they quickly found a following on Etsy, as well as on Facebook.  Emily began doing a lot of networking locally and Tiny Belles products can now be found in some local shops. Emily also began creating hand stamped jewelry as a keepsake gift for moms and grandmas.

Opening a small business has been both inspiring and challenging for both ladies. Joining forums and street teams with other moms/small business owners has inspired them to take Tiny Belles to new levels, branching out into wholesale and drop ship ventures, as well as being featured in local shops.
